The Marion County Public Library is a popular titles library. This means that we try to keep our collection filled with the newest releases and try to only purchase books released in the last 3 years. In order to request an item, we ask that you follow this link and fill out our request form.

If we can purchase the item, we will place you on a hold list and call you when the item comes in. We ask that you give the library at least 6 weeks to process your request.

If the item you are requesting is over 3 years old, we may borrow from another library through interlibrary loan. This process can take at least 3 weeks.

Public PCs

Marion County Public Library offers public PCs at the main branch and at our Loretto branch. The main branch has 10 PCs and Loretto has 1 PC.

When using the PC at the main branch you will need your library card or you can ask for a guest pass at the desk if you don't have a card. Anyone under 18 will have to get permission from a parent or guardian before we can print them a guest pass. Once you have your library card or guest pass you can go to one of the open pcs and enter in the card number or guest number of the pass.

When using the PC at the Loretto branch you won't need a library card or guest pass to use them. As long as no one else is at the PC you may sit down and start using it. We do ask that when you are finished using the PC you restart it or alert a staff member you are done with the PC so they can restart it. This is to insure that are software on the PC is able to wipe any information you may have entered before the next person use it.

All PCs have access to Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Publisher, and Firefox. We are unable to install any other programs to our PCs in order to assure their security.
